Research and teaching for a just and sustainable world.

My work nurtures children’s social-emotional development and resilience in the face of the climate crisis.

About Me

I am a Doctoral Student at the University of Cincinnati, where I am the Editorial Assistant for the Children, Youth, Environments (CYE) Journal and conduct research with the Artlitt Center for Education, Research, & Sustainability.

Scholary Work

My research focuses on nature-based learning in early childhood to support children’s flourishing in a changing climate.

What’s New

I recently joined the Green Teachers podcast to share about the Deepening Empathy Community of Practice. I share the findings from the CoP as well as stories from educators who have implemented the empathy model in their teaching.

“If we want children to flourish, to become truly empowered, then let us allow them to love the earth before we ask them to save it.”
